Insurance Disputes

Almost every business and HNW individual has the benefit of one form of insurance or several. At times when an insured risk has become exposed, the benefit of insurance can be invaluable. However, there are instances when insurance providers refuse to honour the terms of the insurance policy. The most common reason given is non-disclosure of a material fact (bad faith). As with any dispute, these are fact sensitive and require careful analysis and interpretation. The decision not to honour the insurance policy can have devastating financial consequences.   In these circumstances, we can carefully scrutinize the terms and conditions and rationale provided by the insurer for its decision. We will then advise you of the prospects of successfully overturning the insurers decision before making representations on your behalf. Should the insurer insist upon keeping its original decision, we can advise and assist you with representations to the financial ombudsman or commencing proceedings.
